This unique design is based on the original VP9, which is based on the WW2 Welrod pistol used by the British SOE. It is a bolt-action pistol with an integrated silencer. B&T developed this pistol at the request of Swiss veterinarians, police authorities, and hunters.

The MK-II is a semi-automatic, suppressor-ready pistol chambered in the famous and influential to suppress 9×19.
